Case distribution

Capacity-aware case distribution shares incoming cases across officers automatically, taking role, branch, workload and approval limits into account. Officers who are full or on leave are skipped, high-volume sources can go to a dedicated group first, and a scheduled sweeper picks up anything left unassigned.

What it does

  • Round-robin by capacity

Cases rotate across eligible officers and skip anyone at their workload limit.

  • Priority routing

Cases from high-volume sources go to a dedicated group first, then fall back to the wider pool.

  • Daily auto-assign and sweeper

A scheduled run assigns new work and a sweeper collects anything left behind.

Common questions

How does capacity-aware distribution work?

Each officer has a workload limit and approval limit. New cases rotate across eligible officers and skip anyone who is full, absent or not authorised for the amount.

What happens to unassigned work?

A scheduled sweeper finds cases that were not assigned and places them with an eligible officer.

Can some cases get priority?

Yes. Cases from high-volume sources can route to a dedicated group first and fall back to the wider pool when that group is full.
